Participatory Rural Appraisal workshop was conducted in the Mahabraham temple compound, Haripurwa Municipality-1, Sarlahi. A total of 50 farmers participated in the workshop. Based on PRA, paddy and wheat are the major crops the farmers grow. According to the farmers, out of 200 bighas of agricultural land only 15 bigha is irrigated. The remaining 185 bighas land is rain-fed. A total of 200 households will be benefited from the project.
The farmers apply urea @ 420 kg/ha and DAP @ 180 kg/ha in two doses. The production of paddy is 2.25 tons/ha and wheat 1.2 tons/ha.
