Environment, human rights and youth participation are treated as cross-cutting issues in all Conservation Nepal’s community development activities.
Environment and development should be seen as one. Sustainable development is impossible if our watersheds are degraded, rivers are contaminated with unlimited uses of agro-chemicals and biodiversity is destroyed as a result.
Conservation Nepal makes every effort to raise awareness in the rural people to use the available natural resources wisely conserving them in abundant for the posterity.
Human Rights and Youth Participation:
Democracy is not possible without human rights and active involvement of youths of all classes in development activities. In Nepal, women, youths and people from marginalized groups are still deprived of government services.
Conservation Nepal aims to produce champions of human rights, and to promote meaningful participation of women, youths and people from marginalized groups in governance at local levels, and in development activities.
